Eel Clan is an ode to the matrilineal Eel Clan of the Haudenosaunee. This painting uses three identical images to highlight different aspects of the painting. A green freshwater eel swims within a diamond-shaped frame decorated with traditional Haudenosaunee patterns. The green background with purple designs creates a secondary framing effect for the fish. Pops of neon green complement the outer frame.
